Dr. Hassan holds a Doctoral degree in Biochemistry and boasts a significant tenure as a research scientist in academia before venturing into the Canadian Biotech sector. Over the course of more than two decades, he has accrued a wealth of industry acumen across various management levels.
Dr. Hassan has been an instrumental force in the establishment of novel Quality Control and Quality Assurance departments, where his leadership played a pivotal role in enacting a meticulous Quality Management System rooted in GMP and GPP standards, meticulously aligned with the regulatory standards of Health Canada, US-FDA, and European EFSA.
His engagement extended further to the inception of state-of-the-art analytical testing laboratories, the realization of both pilot and commercial scale production facilities, and the successful execution of numerous product development initiatives spanning the Agri-Biotech domain.
Throughout his professional career, he has also had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of international companies, with a particular focus on conducting environmental analysis projects and preparing compliance reports for approval by relevant regulatory authorities.
Within the Canadian Medical Cannabis sphere, Dr. Hassan has been appointed as a Qualified Person (QAP) for several years, ascending to a senior managerial level within Quality Assurance and compliance departments. His expertise includes filing numerous regulatory applications, the implementation of comprehensive Quality Management Systems, and conducting Audits alongside Health Canada to fortify medical Cannabis operations.
